Tijuana Mission Trip – Day 4: Serving with Joy & Sharing by the Fire

Today was all about teamwork and service. Our mission teams spread out across Tijuana, each tackling different projects but united in one purpose—to serve with joy and love.

Team Churros spent the day at an orphanage, bringing smiles and a little extra sparkle to the kids’ day. They played, put on a fun program, shared testimonies, and even rolled up their sleeves to clean and improve the property. Sometimes, love looks like a game of tag… and sometimes, it looks like scrubbing floors!

Team Tacos put on a program for an after-school kids' ministry in a church neighborhood, filling little hearts with joy through Bible stories and fun activities. They also provided lunch and had a powerful moment of prayer on the new land where the local church dreams of opening a school for children with disabilities. We stood in faith with them, believing that God will make a way!

Team Jalapeños Back to a church we served at yesterday, Jalapenos painted, put up a roof, and cleaned  both inside and outside. Their hard work didn’t go unnoticed—an incredibly kind family cooked them a feast of delicious burritos as a thank-you!

Team Guacamole was off to another orphanage, but with a party twist! After some serious cleaning and organizing, they threw an epic celebration for the kids—complete with face painting, balloon animals, games, and Bible stories.

Team Nachos went all in at another orphanage, tackling some much-needed painting, sorting clothes, and even building a retaining wall. Their work will leave a lasting impact, and they left knowing they had helped create a safer, more welcoming space for the kids.

After some free time to rest and recharge at the base, we gathered for an amazing campfire night. One by one, students shared what God has been showing them over the last few days. It was  inspiring as over 40 students opened their hearts, encouraging one another to trust God and lean into His plan.

Each day here in Tijuana is shaping us, stretching us, and showing us more of God’s heart. Thank you for your prayers—God is moving in BIG ways!
